I run into the night

Running from reality

I hear footsteps behind me

Leave me alone, I want to be alone

Finally I cant run anymore

I slow to a walk, breathless

Gasping for air

He comes to my side

His lose blond hair blowing in the breeze

Soft velvet lavender eyes gaze upon me

Wanting to help

Not knowing how

He doesnt need to speak

I know what it is hes asking

He lefts a hand to my cheek

His skin soft and cool

I looked into his eyes one last time

Before Im in the embrace of his arms

Where I let my tears flow

Afraid to be alone

Knowing with him I never will be

Gentle eyes fall upon me again

"Whats wrong?" they ask

"Everything," mine reply

We sit and talk for hours

He listens attentively

Letting me know its okay

And that I dont have to feel selfish

About speaking my emotions

And letting me know he will always be there

I dont have to feel so alone with him

Because he is alone in life too

Except now I feel as if my soul has been ripped out

My heart breaks in two

He breathes his last breath

Smiles his last smile

Speaks his last words

He has left this world

And I am left alone
